Economic Empowerment

Focus: Women of Kenya and Vision 2030

Food security

Under this program, WiLDAF Kenya seeks to ensure self-sufficiency in food production for women.

National Planning and Budgeting Process

We seek to ensure the inclusion of women in major decisions carried out by the government in relation to planning and budgeting at both the grassroots and national levels.

Agriculture

A great percentage of women in Kenya are rural-dwellers involved in small-scale agriculture-related activities; WiLDAF Kenya therefore seeks to ensure a conducive environment for women as small-holder farmers by readdressing gender imbalances experienced in agriculture as they attempt to balance their productive, reproductive and community roles.

Formal and Informal Employment

Special focus lies on the development of a society of economically-independent women in both formal and informal employment.
