16 Days Of Activism
WiLDAF-Kenya shall be participating in this year’s 16 Days of Activism by being part of the organizing team responsible for 10 days’ event which will take place in Kiambu County for the very first time. The main role of WiLDAF-K shall be facilitating and or challenging the women and the whole community on the importance of being part of preventing violence against women with our main focus being “How are you living your faith?” We will make the participants think crititcally about how their faith views violence against women and how they act to prevent it.
WiLDAF-K will be working together with:
- NCCK
- Henry Wanyoike Foundation
- Youth for Change Action Group
- Constitutency Aids Control Committee (CACC)
- Kikuyu Hospital
- Wangu Kanja Foundation
- Hon. Lewis Nguyai (area MP)
Target Audience: Women and the Youth Target Number: 3,000
We will also be having procession as a way to officiate the function at 8.ooam. The route to be used is from Kwa Ngwache to Kikuyu town then to the venue of the event in Kikuyu Township Primary School. This procession shall be graced with the presence of the District Officer and the area M.P, with the Police in charge of the security.
An exhibition (by interested organizations) shall be held from 2nd to 10th December at the school and open group forums that will entail debates and discussions. |
