WiLDAF Kenya Program Internships:

An internship is intended to provide students or recently graduated persons with the opportunity to apply what they learned to real world situations. It offers the intern the chance to work within one of WiLDAF Kenya programs. The intern works under the supervision of WiLDAF Kenya Program Officer and Chief Executive Officer, who will also train them and evaluate their work.

WiLDAF Kenya is committed to making the internship a quality experience that involves the performance of meaningful and skill-enhancing activities. WiLDAF Kenya will not place the intern in positions that exceed his/her capacity or involve responsibilities that s/he is not capable of assuming. This is a paid internship that runs for a period of three to six months. Internship recruitment takes place in March every year.

Qualifications: The internship is open to 3rd and 4th year students of Social Sciences and Humanities and to recently graduated persons in the same field. There is no special preference for either category of applicants. The candidates are also required to have and to demonstrate a deep interest in women’s rights, development and empowerment.

NB: The candidate should either be completing his/her undergraduate degree programme or has recently graduated within the last one year. The internship is open to both males and females.
