WiLDAF (K) is run by a very able Board of directors who are committed to the women’s cause. Under the tutelage of these women WiLDAF (K) has and will continue venturing where angels dare not tread.

Margaret is the chairperson of WiLDAF –Kenya. Margaret Shava - Chairperson  WiLDAF KenyaShe is a lawyer by profession, with a degree in Law from the University of Buckingham-UK, MA in Democratic studies from Leeds university-UK and is a member of the institute of Certified Public secretaries-Kenya.

During her career, Margaret has worked with Kenya Breweries as the assistant to the Company secretary, Credit reference of Kenya limited where she was the head of legal Department.

She has also worked extensively for the United Nations High Commission for refugees at country, regional and international levels.

She has done consultancies in human rights, constitutional Law, civic education, refugee Law and women’s human rights. In addition to this, Margaret worked with International Alert, where she engaged in conflict transformation in the great lakes region.

She is currently a commissioner with the Truth Justice and Reconciliation Commission (TJRC).





Winnie Guchu - Vice Chairperson WiLDAF KenyaWinnie Guchu is the Vice Chairperson of WiLDAF Kenya. She holds a degree in Education from Kenyatta University and has been working as a consultant on elections, gender, democracy and governance within the greater East African region for the last 16 years.

Winnie has conducted research and developed training materials, policies and national frameworks in gender, human rights, democracy and governance for implementation at national and regional public institutions.

She is currently one of commissioners of the Interim Independent Electoral Commission of Kenya.




Hon. Njoki S. Ndungu is the Secretary to the Board of Directors of WiLDAF –Kenya. Hon. Njoki S. ndungu - Sectary to the Board - WiLDAF KenyaShe is an advocate of the High Court of Kenya and holds a post graduate Law degree (LLM) in Human Rights and Civil Liberties.

She has worked as a state counsel in the office of the Attorney-General. From government service, she moved to the public law institute where she headed the Public Interest Litigation Section before moving to the UNHCR Kenya office as a National Protection Officer. Thereafter Hon. Njoki worked as political analyst for the Organization of African unity, (now the African Union).

Hon Njoki S Ndung’u also served as a nominated member of the 9th parliament in the National Assembly of Kenya. She sat on several parliamentary committees including the standing committee on Defense and Foreign Affairs, the standing committee on Administration of Justice and Legal Affairs and the Parliamentary Select Committee on the constitution. She was the chief architect of the Sexual Offences Act 2006 which she had moved and passed through parliament as a Private Members Bill. She received recognition for her work and was awarded the UN person of the year in Kenya 2006

Hon. Njoki S. Ndung’u is currently a commissioner with the Committee of Experts on the Constitution of Kenya.




Ann Mululu - Treasurer - WiLDAF KenyaAnn Mululu is the treasurer to the Board of Directors of WiLDAF-Kenya. She is an advocate of the High court of Kenya and a Certified Public Secretary with a Bachelors of Law degree (LL-B) honors and Masters in Business Administration from the University of Nairobi.

Ann has extensive experience in offering legal services to a diverse client base that include multinational corporations, financial institutions and banks as well as giving advice to, negotiation for, in areas of Corporate Law, Real Property Law and Conveyance, Intellectual Property Law and litigation in these areas.

She was a delegate to the National Constitutional Review Process representing women’s organizations.

Currently Ann is a partner at Archer and Wilcock Advocates, Nairobi. She is a member of Law Society of Kenya, member, past treasurer and vice chairperson, Federation of Women lawyers- Kenya chapter (FIDA-K), member institute of certified public secretaries and a member, Board of Governors-Mbooni Girl’s High School.

Ann is a human rights activist who believes that women Rights are also ‘human rights’. She has chosen Law as the tool to rectify the many forms and levels of gender, class, and ethnicity based power injustices, patriarchal patterns, harmful traditions and customs that impede the development of a just and equal position of women in the society.
